Rocky Dawuni Joins U-Day Festival in Ethiopia!
by February 20, 2018Rocky Dawuni was invited to participate at the week long U-Day Festival 2018 in Ethiopia alongside interfaith leaders, indigenous activists and artists from around the world. The festival involved live performances in both Addis Ababa and Shashemene with artists including Pato Banton, Dane Kennedy (Australia), Lyla June (Navajo Nation,) Kristin Hoffman and more. The delegation also participated in a high level conference at the African Union with the President of Ethiopia Mulatu Teshome, the head of Ethiopian Orthodox Church Abune Mathias, H.E. Ambassador Mussie Hailu and other dignitaries as part of the United Nations Interfaith Week Celebration. The delegates travelled to the sacred site of Lalibela, Ethiopia as well as visited various religious shrines across the country.
