Rocky Dawuni to perform at The Kennedy Center in Washington DC

[vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]Africa’s International music star Rocky Dawuni will mount the stage at the prestigious The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts on Sunday June 23 in Washington DC for the “Legacy of Bob Marley Concert.” The event is a collaboration between the Kennedy Center and the Grammy Museum celebrating the works of Bob Marley. The line up also features Speech of Arrested Development, Matisyahu, Citizen Cope, David Hinds (Steel Pulse,) Junior Marvin (Bob Marley & the Wailers,) Toshi Reagon, the legendary Roots Radics Band, members of SOJA & more!

This show comes on the heels of a string of high profile European Festival dates in May 2013 by the Ghanaian star which saw him perform to audiences in Switzerland, Germany, Austria and making history as the first Reggae and African artist to be invited to play in Greenland – in a concert that was dubbed the “best music concert to hit that nations capital!

Dawuni returns to Europe for a another tour in July including the massive Summerjam Festival in Cologne, Germany as well as the prestigious Montreau Jazz Festival in Switzerland and the Weedbeat Festival! Rocky will perform in the US at the Levitt Pavilion MacArthur Park  (presented by KCRW) in Los Angeles, CA for a free show for all on August 24!
